As Luffy activates Gear 2, the audience is amazed by the steam coming out of his body and question if it is something all men can do. Sandersonia reassures Marigold that his Haki is not a concern as long as he cannot control it. Sandersonia lashes out with her Hebigami-Tsuki: Yamata no Orochi technique, but Luffy dodges all of her attacks with relative ease. Even though she is using Observation Haki to read his movements, he is moving too fast for her to keep up. Luffy, with his astonishing speed, wraps his arm around her neck and slams her into the ground. Marigold then swings her polearm at him, but he dodges. As prepares to strike her, she readies to deflect his attack again; however, the force of his Jet Bazooka sends her flying back and breaks her polearm. The whole crowd is shocked into silence. Irritated, Hancock asks her sisters to fight seriously. Her sisters apologize and promise end things now. Marigold lights herself on fire and attacks with Hebigami-Tsuki: Salamander, while Sandersonia attacks with Hebigami-Tsuki: Yamata no Orochi again. Since the hair snakes surround him and block any escape, Luffy unleashes Jet Gatling, punching all of the snake heads, much to the sisters' and crowd's shock. He then kicks them in their stomachs, sending them crashing into each other. Marigold's fire spreads to Sandersonia, but when Marigold tries to push herself away, she realizes that Luffy has tied their tails together. While Luffy celebrates, Sandersonia in her panic tries to flee, almost falling out of the ring and down onto the spikes, but catches herself on the outer ring's railing. When he realizes that Sandersonia's shirt burned off, Luffy jumps on her back, and the crowd thinks he is trying to throw her into the spikes. Although she protests, he tells her not to move and reminds her that he does not want to kill them. Sandersonia asks Marigold to remove him, but Marigold hesitates because he is covering the Gorgon's Eyes on her back. Luffy remembered that the sisters would rather die than let anyone see the eyes. Hancock declares the fight is over and orders everyone to leave the arena. Sandersonia asks Luffy why he would help them even though they were trying to kill him, to which Luffy responds that the thing on their back has nothing to do with their match. Hancock, after seeing Luffy's kind personality, starts to weep.
